It’s Time for Spring/Summer Fashion Trends 2024

As the flowers bloom and the temperatures rise, it’s time to refresh your wardrobe with the latest spring fashion trends. From classic denim to playful kitten heels, this season offers a diverse array of styles to suit every taste. Incorporating fashion trends into your personal style as opposed to completely adopting a trend is how you give your wardrobe a refresh each year without over consuming. This method of blending the two will also help you to stay consistent with respecting your own budget. Let’s be clear we do not want to create debt in the name of keeping up with fashion trends. So, I am here to encourage you to finesse your closet and pair items that you already have with new purchases to create outfits that you feel and look good in. Your personal style should never be neglected, doing so will overshadow your own personality & present as inauthentic. We want to look great, feel confident and be comfortable in our fashions.

Let’s explore the must-have fashion trends for S/S 2024:

Kitten Heels

Step aside sky-high stilettos and clear the walkway for the chic comfort of kitten heels. This season, designers are embracing the elegance of low heels, offering a more wearable option for both day and night. Whether paired with cropped jeans or linen pants or a flowy dress, kitten heels add a touch of sophistication to any outfit.

Sneakers

Comfort meets style with the enduring popularity of sneakers. From chunky dad sneakers to sleek minimalist designs, there’s a sneaker for every occasion. Dress them up with a tailored suit or down with your favorite slip dress for effortless cool. The Samba and New Balance speakers are the fashion fan favorite. They pair easily due to the various colorways available. So go for a bold color or neutral tones to achieve a gorgeous sneaker look.

Stripes

Classic stripes never go out of style, and this Spring/Summer season is no exception. Whether bold and graphic or subtle and nautical, stripes add a playful element to any ensemble. Thin stripes are used for a cooler, smart look and the wide stripes are used in more casual, modern looks. Mix and match different widths and colors for a modern twist on a timeless pattern.

    Denim

Denim is a perennial favorite, but this season it’s all about embracing its versatility. It is something that all of us have in our closets. From denim dresses to barrel jeans to denim accessories, denim pieces are a staple of spring and early summer wardrobes. Experiment with different washes and cuts to find your perfect denim look.

    The Color Red

Make a bold statement this spring with the color red. Whether in the form of a vibrant dress or an eye-catching accessory, red adds an instant dose of drama to any outfit. The right shade of red used smartly will provide the right amount of elevation to your outfit. Red can be used as a simple pop of color in the form of a red bag, shoe or lip color. Don’t shy away from this fiery hue it works well with most skin tomes. Make red apart of your color palette this season and surprise yourself with just how empowered you can feel.

    Sheer

You may think this trend is only for the few, but I challenge you to give sheer a chance. Sheer can be subtle and elegant or cheeky and sexy. It all depends on how you wear it. There are many designers embracing this trend and providing playful sheer clothing options and sexy versions as well. From delicate lace tops to ethereal chiffon skirts, sheer fabrics add a touch of romance to your wardrobe. Layer with opaque pieces for a more modest look or choose to wear with barely there undergarments.

    Western Core

Saddle up for a style adventure with western-themed clothing. Fringe, cowboy boots and hats and denim-on-denim are all key elements of this trend. Hitting the rodeo is not required so you can feel free to channel your inner cowgirl and/or cowboy. A fringe adorned cropped jacket over a crisp button-up with neck tassel and a mini or midi length skirt with a western boot and 10-gallon hat for a head-to-toe western look. You do not prefer a head-to-toe look, try just adding key elements like a western hat with a denim look or western boots with a linen romper. Be on the lookout for western-inspired pieces to add a dose of Americana charm to your spring/summer wardrobe.

With these trends in mind, the SS24 season will still be all about embracing individuality and having fun with fashion. How you style your pieces with these trends will make it unique to you and inevitably make you feel more confident and comfortable in what you are wearing. Whether you’re stepping out in a sheer look with kitten heels or kicking your heels up in boots with spurs in a denim look, there’s a trend for everyone to enjoy. So go ahead, mix and match, and as always express yourself through your personal style all season long.
